Hi all,

Third bullet point under Scythed Chariots (page 16) says that:

Only javelin, missile support, stakes, elephant's impact abilities, together with fortifications or obstacles count against scythed chariots. All other special abilities have no effect.

Does this mean that armour has no effect against scythed chariots? if so, this exception is missing from the bullet point list on page 17 (under Armour and Heavy Armour) and the quick reference sheet. Alternatively, armour does apply (subject to furious charge rules) and armour should be added to the list of special abilities that apply against scythed chariots.

As far as I am aware, armour is not effective, neither is Polearm, 2HW, Impact etc - in other words the only "special abilities" to consider against Scythed Chariots are those listed

I hope this is the case. Scythed chariots would otherwise be useless against armoured foot with missile support.

All the items on pages 17 - 20 are grouped under the "Special Abilities" title at the top of p17, including armour . . . .

So, unless Herve says otherwise, the list of exceptions on Page 17 and the quick reference sheet (under Armour and Heavy Armour) are incomplete. The armour special ability cannot be used against scythed chariot.

I believe so, as it is only the combat factor that is reduced to zero. Modifiers for terrain, commander, uncontrolled charge, etc still apply.
