After not really getting any consensus on my first Disengagement question, here is a second one-
XX
AB
X = Two Heavy Infantry
A = Light Horse
B = Heavy Cavalry
A and B form a group and wish to Disengage from the enemy Heavy Infantry, the Group move rules on page 10 say that to activate and move the units must form a group at both the start and end of the move unless specifically listed as otherwise such as continuing a Charge.
The issue then arrises with the Disengage move rules on page 40, where it says that a disengaging unit moves back its full movement allowance minus one UD.
So can the Light Horse and Heavy Cavalry Disengage for 1 Pip? |

Yes they can. They move straight back 3BW (the movement rate of the slowest unit minus one).

My guess is that with Charge, Evade, and Disengage the group requirement only applies to determining who is eligible, not the move (displacement) itself. |

They can disengage as a group, but Evade (when charged at) must be made separately for each movement capacity (p 4 _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |
