Hi guys

I have agreement to organise an ADLG event in Newcastle keep, in the centre of Newcastle, right next to the train station. I need to find a suitable gap in the calendar as things are looking pretty good these days, lots going on and I do not want to crowd anyone else, and I have typically seen the following events;

January, Scottish open
March, Schiltron
July, Larkhill
September, Inverness
October, York
Various, batcave
Various, north league one day events.

This seems to me to suggest late November or early December as the best gap I can find this year. Otherwise May also looks like a possible gap. Please let me know if I am missing anything?

Warfare is 12/13 November, there's a Northern League Round the week before. We've generally avoided organising NL rounds after Warfare as there is a potential weather issue. Long sleeved T-Shirts may be required in Newcastle at that time of year.

Northern League Rounds are typically March, May, July, September and November. There's also Roll Call which generally fits around Easter (April 9 next year) and Challenge at Expo (3/4 June next year).

Sounds like a great idea Mike. If it's going to be a GoT themed event (winter is coming) then late Nov / early Dec works. For me at least

Hi guys

Seems like I can have the castle as a venue on the weekend of 10 to 11 December, details to follow. Expect to use a feudal or high medieval theme (probably just Western Europe) in keeping with the venue.
