Another one that came out of yesterday's games.
All moves were outside 4UD of enemy units.
My opponent (again - he's sneaky like this) had only two pips available on his first move. He wanted to bring some HCv into a group with some LCv for one PIP then move the new group together for the second pip.
I had thought that in order to move as a group the units had to start their turn as a group, but the rules seem to differ:
Citation: | Page 10, Groups of units, para 2:
Groups can be formed and dispersed at will during the movement phase. However, to be activated and moved together, units must form a group both at the beginning and end of their moves (but not necessarily during the entire movement phase). |
I knew it was possible to drop units from a group in a second or third move, but picking them up?

Agreed.Â
During the Movement Phase units and groups may make up to three Moves, forming new groups during each Move. |

Mad Axe man once pointed out that multiple moves must be consecutive.
But that doesn't seem to prevent group A from moving and attaching to group B, group AB moving and attaching to group C, group BC moving, group C moring.
Not, as MAM would be quick to point out, that it is likely to be all that useful... |
