|
So I have been thinking about exactly how conforming is done and the interaction with movement distance and the like.
Look at the top diagram on page 50.
In brief, groups stop at first contact, determine which way to slide, slide and then pivot into final conformation.
It also says that during conformation units not in contact may be moved up to 1 UD to remain in the group.
However happens if group A in the example is coming in at a larger angle to Group B. Such that at the point where unit A1 makes contact unit A3 is more than 1 UD away from B2?
Is it dropped behind?
Would the answer change if it still had enough movement distance to reach B2 itself?
The way I have been playing even if A3 was more than 1UD away from B2 I would conform it if it had enough movement distance to make it. But not if it did not and was more than 1UD away. |

So if you do not stop and conform, then p 43, section 5 or 7 kick in to the remaining unit(s). |
