I am not sure but the Burgundian Army list seems be illegal.

Each mixed unit replaces half-unit of pikemen and
one entire unit of bowmen

4 units of Heavy Spearmen 1/2 Longbow plus
3 units of medium swordsmen longbow
is 1 bowmen too much

It looks like you are right. You can only get 3 units of Ordinance Pikeman, so only 3 mixed units of mixed heavy spear 1/2 Longbow can be fielded.

With a second look at the list, I disagree.
So everyone can follow. The Burgundian Ordinance list, #246, mentioned in the battle report had one Ordinance Pikeman
(limit 0-3)
And 4 mixed units of 1/2 Heavy Spearman and 1/2 Longbow
(Replace some Ordinance archers and Pikemen by mixed units, 0-6)
And zero ordinance Archers (Longbow, 2-6)
The list rules are not specific on how to trade the longbow and the pike to create the mixed units, so as long as the total quantity of longbow and pike and mixed units does not exceed 9 (the total of the basic Longbow + Pike) the list is legal.

And in this case I would also say he kept in the spirit of the list as well. He ran one Ordinance pike unit and 4 mixed units, each would presumably have 1/2 of the remaining 2 pikemen allowed.

It is written in the Note
Each mixed unit replaces one entire unit of ordonnace archer.

He cannot have 4 mixed units and in addition 3 medium swordsmen longbow.

...or did he choose a Yorkist ally?

OK, I see what you are saying. Keep in mind the list I present wasn't directly off of Jim's list, but my best guess looking at the pictures two games and several days later, and there may be errors in it.
