Hi Guys,
Three questions about scythed chariots:
1. Page 16 final bullet point - "If a unit loses the first round of a melee to a scythed chariot, apply the Furious charge effects." Does this count against mounted units?
2. Can a scythed chariot provide simple support?
3. Can a scythed chariot be interpenetrated by LI and by LH?

Page 63 states that Scythed Chariots (P.16) follow special rules regarding Support. However, this only refers to the fact that the Scythed Chariots themselves cannot benefit from any friendly support, not the other way around.
3. Can a scythed chariot be interpenetrated by LI and by LH?
> The statements about LI and LH interpenetration on Page 39 do not exclude Scythed Chariots.

The other interesting fact about Scythed Chariots is that they cannot be subject to Panic (P.19) which means that they can move in a group with Camels and can interpenetrate LCm (& vice versa).
So a group of 2 x Scythed Chariots supported by 2 x MCm bow mediocre, with the scythed chariots fronted by 2 x LCm bow, becomes a pretty nasty little cavalry killing combo 
Although I think there are only a couple of armies where this can even potentially be attempted.
But as always, I might be misinformed.

You can try that with list 64 Achemenids Persians with Cyrus
0-2 LCm or Cm mediocre from the main list
0-2 Cm mediocre
0-2 scythed chariots
You will need 2cp as it is 2 groups but the Schar can be devastating against Cataphracts with the Camel panic.

Page 16 only says that units fighting against Scythed Chariots in the first round of melee cannot receive support. So the chariots themselves can be supported and give support as per usual.

Maybe the Later Persian for Elephant & Scythed Chariots - I think Darius had both at Gaugamela.

And Seleucids...with Cm/El/Sch combo!
and Arameens (74) with camel/Sch. Sadly the camel cataphracts are on another sub-list...
and classical Indians with El/El stampede !
