Hi everyone, we have a doubt,
Can a unit perform a spontaneous charge if it is located in difficult terrain that penalizes it in combat? |

What an excellent question.
I would have answered "obviously yes" but then I read the first bullet on page 44 again.
So the question becomes, does the unit have to exert a Zone of Control to be allowed to spontaneously charge?
Or is the intent of that bullet that it merely has an enemy unit in a position such that it would be in a zone of control.
I dont know the answer.... |

No it cannot.
You can only carry out a spontaneous charge on an enemy which is in your ZoC.
If you do not have a ZoC because you are in penalising terrain then you cannot carry out a spontaneous charge.

Light foot might be able to do so as they have a zoc |
