The rules are pretty clear that Impetuous Infantry are not impetuous if the resulting charge would contact mounted to the front, implying that if the contact would be to the rear or side the infantry would be impetuous.

Does this mean if I move Light Horse within charge range and turn them around so their back is facing the impetuous infantry then the infantry would then be impetuous on their turn?

Given that LH can shoot 360 is there any disadvantage to doing this? Is this the intent of the rule? Seems a cheesy, if useful tactic.

to Nostrebor: yes, but careful with Javelin LH, cause they can't turn when in the ZoC of the HI and with a range of 1, they will be soon in ZoC

to JohnTheBoring: yes, , doing this will lead to an impetuous charge from the HI. perfect if you want to break the line.
