It's time yet again for Kenneth Williams to don his toga and avoid being stabbed in the back as he takes command of a Patrician Roman army against enemies from all edges of the Roman empire - Franks, Palmyrans, Spaniards and the eastern extremities of the Warring States Chinese in four separate 300 point L'Art de la Guerre doubles battle reports.

Thrill to the thunder of hooves, marvel at the download time of the often inappropriate and shoehorned-into-the-narrative comedy animated GIF's, hold your breath in fear as the two lines of mighty warriors clash together and roll dice to see who comes out on top in almost [url=https://www.madaxeman.com/reports/Godendag_2018_1.php]10,000 words of irrelevant and semi-educational nonsense
.

Reports contain all the usual mutterings and puns, as well as some truly incredible feats of bravery and military success (not all of which are from the Roman troops - as you may well already have guessed..).

See for yourself if they truly do have it Infamy..

Thanks for sharing, Tim,

You have definitely given me some food for thought, as I am in the process of painting up a similar army for Roll Call.

The CLWC ideal - an army with pre-written excuses. Cool

I think a lot of it all boils down to the #1 lesson I seem to have in many of my games of ADLG - if you plan to do something, you need to commit to doing it 110% and follow it through.

Game 1 we should have just fallen back to force the enemy to come into the wider part of the table, and also trigger the Alans to life
Game 2 we should ideally have opted to defend (I' suspect we lost this initiative roll through..) and also waited for the flank march to arrive as it was probably capable of winning almost on its own from that situation
Game 3 should have thrown a whole command into rolling up the Legions from the flank before even taking on the guys n the hill.
Game 4 went OK!

The table size/troop ratio in ADLG is tighter than most other games I've played before, so there simply isn't the same amount of time to correct mistakes or to dither about waiting to see what might happen!
