Hi Guys,
p76 Terrain adjustment table
How many terrain pieces can be removed?
Is it one per game or one per player?
Also, can an impassable terrain piece be removed on a result of a '5' even if another terrain piece has already been removed? |

One per game for a roll of a 6.
I think a 5 also allows you to remove an impassable even if another has been removed by a 6, but I don’t think there is a consensus answer here.
(Note it’s one per playing for not being able to fit when initially diving for location.) |

Question was asked 3 years ago and sort of answered by Hervé himself. https://www.artdelaguerre.fr/adlg/v3/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8709
It is clear that if either player rolls a 6 and removes a piece, another roll of 6 by either player cannot remove anything.
It is less clear that if a piece is removed by a 6 whether a player can specify an impassable feature and hope to roll a 5 (seriously?)?
Somewhat more sensible would be if a player removed an impassable feature on a 5, could a player remove another feature on a 6 (or adjust it with a 3-5)?
(For what it's worth, my opinion is RAW says yes, simplicity says no.)

Thanks guys; one per game it is.
With regard to rolling a '5' and removing an impassable piece of terrain; I think it is allowed even if another piece of terrain has been removed. The entry for removing a piece of terrain when you roll a '6' has the last statement 'in this manner'.
'In this manner' must mean by rolling a '6' not from rolling a '5'.
It's a very minor point and I have never seen it come up.

It’s not one per player, it’s one per game.
I have seen the 5 and 6 thing with Impassable come up in a total of one game I’ve played. I think the 5 was first. I’m pretty sure we allowed both removals. |
