From Umpire Chuck Hines.
Pending double checking my math, these are the mostly official and possibly correct results of the Arctic la Guerre event held this past weekend at the Whitehall Hotel in Chicago.
The format was 200ap Open, with five 2.5 hour rounds, using standard scoring.
1. Dan Hazelwood, Ghaznavid - 389
2. Steve Roper, French Ordonnance - 376
3. Marc Crotteau, Ottoman Empire - 371
4. Hilton McManus, Kingdom of Sicily - 320
5. Kevin Donovan, Feudal French - 309
6. Richard Woolford, Beja - 307
7. Simon Babbs, Burgundian Ordonnance - 286
8. Scott Allen, Serbian Empire - 270
9. Walt Burgoyne, Triumvirate Roman - 249
10. Joey Miller, Nikephorian Byzantine - 245
11. David Ray, Umayyad Arab - 227
12. Vince Solfronk, Vlach and Moldavian - 226
13. Mike Monahan, Teutonic Knights - 215
14. Jeff Wiltrout, Burgundian Ordonnance - 206
15. Bill McCampbell, Samurai - 204
16. Jeff Herzog, Beja - 97
All players played five rounds.
Dan Hazelwood captured the highly coveted Champions Snow Globe.
Special mention for army presentation went to Mike Monahan for his possibly problematic Teutonic Knights and to Vince Solfronk for his supernaturally bloodthirsty Vlach, with the latter being awarded the small and far less coveted Smaller Snow Globe.
Finally, let me extend my person thanks to everyone who came from so far away to Mike's tournament. It was great seeing everyone, and for the most part it was easy to keep everything moving along. |
