In various lists there is the wording that a certain troop type is only available 'from' a date (e.g. Hungarian LC are only available 'from' 1200).
Does that mean that they are available from 1st January 1200 onwards or from 1st January 1201?

Likewise, if another list states that a certain troop type is only available 'to' a certain date, does that mean they can be used up to and including that date (e.g. to 1400 - meaning including 1400 or is it up to 31st December 1399).

Sorry if this is one of those 'angels dancing on a pinhead' type of questions, but it is that time of year

“From” and “to” include the year mentioned.

From 1400 and to 1400 both include the year 1400.

Yes - that was my thinking - thanks.

Some other lists are more specific - such as (before 1250) for example - so there I am pretty clear in my own mind that these units can only be used up to 1249.
