Hello,
Please, do the Light infantry ZOC over medium camels in dunes?
And can stand in combat if medium camels charge them?
Thank you very much in advance

All the references are to the camels not being effected. So I would assume LI can stand.

Note p64, "mounted units" last bullet. It says including camels do not automatically destroy LI.

So i believe the LI can stand.

As for the LI ZOC. That is unclear. I could see it ruled either way, but i would say YES, the ZOC does apply to Medium camels. p 38, 3rd bullet. Since the MC do consider the dune rough for movement (p72).

1. The related question is light infantry in Brush. Camels treat this as open, but Light Infantry do not.

Do LI in Brush have to evade vs MCm or Cataphract Camels?

I would suggest they do not as LI treat it as rough and do not have to evade in rough. The Camels treat it as open so do not suffer movement or combat penalties in it.

2. BTW, what about Cataphract Camels or LC on Camels in Dunes or Brush. I would suggest they treat it the same way as MCm as the wording on pp. 64, 71 and 72 simply reiterates what all the relevant points regarding MCm on p 15. (Note that Cataphract Camels would be really slow in dunes as they only move 1 in Rough.)

Agreed. P47 troops that must evade states that LI must evade if attacked in the open. So if in Brush they do not have to evade.

It seems reasonable to treat all camels the same. Let’s check with El Creator.

Personally I'd be tempted to go with the blindingly obvious common sense approach of regarding all troops who are mounted on camels as being subject to the rules for troops mounted on camels, and just let Herve enjoy his summer holiday....
