The ADLG event at PAW in 2027 will be "The Ionians are Revolting!", all armies valid in or before 499BC
This year sees us making a decisive break from last year's locally-anchored "Bastards" theme. The fact that every single Greek or Turkish restaurant in Plymouth is currently scoring a very impressive 4.1 or higher on Google strongly suggests that Plymouth's Ionians are all rather tasty indeed, so instead the theme is simply based on the date of the Ionian Revolt in 499BC, with all armies needing to be valid before or in this year.
499BC saw the Greek cities of Asia Minor attempt to break away from Persian rule, marking the beginning of the Greek and Persian wars, the end of the age of the Chariot and the rise of European military power.
Scale 25mm, 60mm UD, max 200 points. If you have a nice terrain mat you may like to bring it with you, otherwise PAW will supply terrain cloths, players need to bring their own terrain features.
The rules used will be v4 as published, with the latest Official Amendments and Clarifications - unless by some miracle v5 comes out far, far earlier than anyone expects.
There will be four 2 hour 45 minute games, two each on Saturday and Sunday:
Saturday
9:30-12:15
13:15-16:00
Sunday
9:30-12:15
13:00-15:45
We will endeavour to keep regular opponents apart on the Saturday.

Competition Entry Tickets will be available from the PAW website http://www.plymouthwargamers.co.uk/index.php/paw-annual-show.html and include entry to the rest of the show.
