I am curious as to what people consider the optimal number of units for a flank march to be. Is 1/3 of your army too much or too little?

We played a couple of games with flankmarches. I think about 6 or so and the flankmarch arrived always and right in the first turns of the game.... Rolling Eyes

The best is to have one unit more than your opponent.... Laughing

i have played both:
flank march with 1 Cv: rush to the camp! the opponent had been disapointed to see one little unit arrive cause he made a 1/4 turn with half his corp...
flank march with 10 units... hope it will arrive soon... the opponent is usually totally surprise as nobody expects such a number on flank march...

Flank march is more intersting il your opponent think your flank march is an ambush! So he'll be really surprise when yout flank march enter the table.
