It looks as though most games are played with 15mm figures. I have lots of those, but prefer 25mm which would use the standard 6' x 4' table. Does anyone use 25mm?
The main problems with armies designed for DBM, as all mine are, are the need for separate commander bases and for cohesion markers. Don't like plastic markers, counters etc cluttering up the table. I have lots of casualty bases for FoGR (25mm and 15mm) and for various Peter Pig rules, but no Ancient/Medieval ones, so I'm knocking up some bases with varying numbers of javelins stuck in the ground, to represent cohesion loss. For separate commanders I need extra figures: I expect DBM to remain my main game so I don't want to break up elements. |

Yes, in Bordeaux we use 25mm figures. We have a 34 years old tournament on first week end of november (or last of october) call ANTIKA.
And our friends of fronton want to organise another tournament with 25mm figures.
So : you'll welcome! _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!

John, I've just seen this. You've probably long since solved it but, in case not, I'd just use your DBM command elements to represent generals. I, and most people, from a DB background do.
The rules allow you to put generals on deeper bases but I don't think it is compulsory. You lose a few millimetres of command radius, but that's not the end of the world.
As people paint-up new armies and become increasingly committed to ADLG I see more purpose-built generals, but one of the (many) good things about these rules is that they things easy for players of other sets.
