This question concerns page 43, 5th bullet and the 3rd bullet under special cases. Does the 3rd bullet override the above 5th bullet? I thought not but my opponent thought it might as he wanted a medium cav unit to evade a charge by HI spear by interpenetrating a friendly HC unit within 1 UD to the evader's rear. I thought the point of the 3rd bullet was just to point out that penetration was allowable during a charge or evade and not just as part of a normal movement. |

You can only interpenetrate a friendly unit during evade if you can interpenetrate this unit for charge. In your exemple the medium cavalry can't interpenetrate the HC. _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!

Agreed Belinconnux. The wording or translation here is a little imprecise; it is not intended to provide further cases where interpenetration is permitted.
Better wording might be "Interpenetration is not prevented by charging or evading" - or indeed, this third "special case" might be just be dropped altogether. |
