I have a question regarding allied generals.

Are allied generals restricted to command troops from their own list in their command or can they cammand troops of other nationality?

For example if i have a roman army with a Batavian ally can I place Batavian troops in Roman commands and Roman troops in the Batavian command or not ?

A general command only troops of his own list.
In your roman army, batavians are commanded only by the batavian ally general...
