At the start of the movement phase, a Heavy Chariot finds itself 1cm to the side and 3mm behind the front edge of an enemy medium Camelry unit.

For tactical reasons, the Heavy Chariot wishes to charge the front of the Medium Camelry. The unit has the movement distance to turn right and then wheel left into contact with the corner of the Camels, ending at an oblique angle with most of the Chariot's front overhanging the frontage of the Camels.
Assuming the Camels do not, or cannot, evade, how should the Chariots conform?- On the flank of the Camels, because they started behind the front edge of that unit.
- On the front of the Camels, because most of the Chariots are now facing the front of the Camels.
- Player's choice, there is no compulsion either way.

figure in page 51 say:
-in case B2:contact in front on flank, this unit is partially in the flank of the ennemy and the front corner still on the frontline extending from the ennemy unit.
-In case C2: the only contact possible is on the flank as the front base is entierly in the flank of the ennemy.
According to this, as your chariot front base is located entierly in the flank of the camel, my opinio is that the chariot can only contact the camel on the flank _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

+1 with Commodore.
When you say "for tactical reasons", you mean you want to charge the flank of the camel with another unit? _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

The term "for tactical reasons" could mean a variety of things, ranging from charging in the flank, to preventing the camels evading to their rear. In this case it was much more mundane - preventing the evade move to the flank which would have been more advantageous.
And thanks both for the answer. |
