When a unit loses disorder due to flank/rear attack this happens before melee resolution. If it causes the unit to be routed is it removed before all melee resolution, and therefore possibly create a new overlap this turn on the adjacent unit? |

Routers are removed at the end of the turn. P61 para3
Also, they don't get to fight the melee because they have been routed already.
