How do people mount these on a 40mm x 40mm base as per rules book ?, or or is there an update on base sizez I have missed ?.

If you need a just little bigger base, the most important is the 40 mm front.
The depth can be more than 40, if necessary. It won't change the game.

ahh ok

my old Essex hungarian warwagons used to be a problem, never fitted on a 80mm x 40mm, and cart artlillery with the draft animals same problem, but if depth not a problem, fine Smile

For wwg, due to the way of playing, I think the 80 mm depth are important, because you will play both with the front and the flank... ! (Then, in a way, the flank becomes the front...).

I have mine on a 40*40 and it works well.
It's the Essex cart with 2 mules and a bolt shooter in the cart
