Following a discussion i had with Julian Lopez during the one-day London tournament, there was a doubt about the condition to realise a break off with mounted troops,in the french version. (p 44 3rd bullet). The sentence may be confusing.
It has been confirmed by the DT in the french forum that mounted troop (except elephants and scythed chariots ) may break off when they are fighting:
1)any foot troops
2)any mounted troops slower than them

Mounted need to be faster.
Not foot need to be faster.
Many foot are same speed as knights.
