Pyrrhic Italian list does the mediocre pike men requirement include the Hypaspists ? I thought I read some where it doesn't which is it. Love Pyrrhus but this list is dam restrictive its hard to build a solid list with good HP and good size . wish it had a little more spice

thanks , Although I cant seem to make a list that would be any good out of the Italian option . I wish the lists were a little spicier or the points wre at 250! Laughing

Your list looks similar to the one I used at Virtus 2016:

Strategist
1 x MC
2 x Pk Elite
2 x Pk
1 x MSwd Impact

Ordinary
2 x Pk Mediocre
1 x MSwd Impact
1 x MSwd Impact Elite
3 x LI
1 x Ele

Ordinary/Included
2 x HC Impact Elite
2 x LC Jav

Corps I is the main punch - going in with the Pk in the open and Ele/MSwd in Fields or Brush. The one MC is capable of slowing outflankers or providing an overlap. The Strategist gives enough PIPs most of the time.

Corps II either joins Corps I's Elephants or takes the other flank of the Pk. The Tarantines protect its open flank and even though Mediocre they are still pretty tough.

Corps III was meant to cover a wide open flank and lose slowly.

On the whole it worked fairly well, only coming unstuck when I was too aggressive with Corps III - lost it and let Cavalry get into the LI that were by then in the rear of the main battle line.

It's not a great army, but the combination of Elephants and powerful Medium Swordsmen makes it fun to use.
