If I have a battle line and through shooting, I lose one of the units in the center, is it possible to condense my line so it is again one group? I am trying to figure out how it would be possible. If I do a quarter turn and move toward my other unit, I am then in a T formation, and I am unable to do another quarter turn to get me back facing the proper direction. I did not read anything about sliding sideways unless I am also moving forward. Am I missing a technique that can be used to solidify my line in such a situation? |

You can also, and i think it is the best solution, move forward, at least 1 UD straight and slide one of you groups up ti 1 UD. Of course, only if you are not already in ZOC. In that case you can only rely on your 2nd line reserves if you have some, as it is forbidden to slide in ZOC. _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

So do experienced players usually keep a mobile reserve in a second line to fill gaps, or simply accept that a line can not be strong everywhere? |

I think it depends on the army.
Generally I rather get around someone's line and delay the main clash if I fear my opponent can punch through.
But large armies with weakish troops I want a fire brigade. But generally that's very localized.
No having an LC or LI around to give you support is handy, but they don't really plug gaps too well |
