|
I have fantasies of being able to do this!
A column of mounted or Heavy Infantry that cannot evade is charged in the flank by a group. A flank charge has to conform properly. How does that work with a line hitting a column whose base depth is less than a base width?
Is it as follows? (I have used letters to try to get the font to line up.)
AAABBBCCCDDD Initial impact
KKKKMMMMNNNNQQQQ
Then conforms
AAABBBCCCDDD K fights A supported by M
KKKKMMMM_NNNNQQQQ N fights D supported by Q
or? Could it be either?
AAABBBCCCDDD
KKKK__MMMMNNNNQQQQ
AAAABBBB_CCCCDDDD Its' move the column conforms
KKKKMMMM_NNNNQQQQ
I'd like to get this resolved before we have to stop a game for 10 minutes to discuss how it works! |

As stated it is very clearly laid out in the FAQ.
Essentially the column displaces to permit it. |
