In our game on Friday night we had this situation occur and I wanted to clarification.
Some crossbowmen charged a base of LF who evaded, in between the crossbow and LF was a melee. As the crossbow based moved forward the owning player realised their path ran alongside an existing melee. The player then stopped the crossbow unit in corner to corner contact of an exist melee. Is this legal or considered a change of direction for a charge which is illegal? |

If the path of the crossbow is just along the flank of the melee (no change of path for a charging unit) and the unit ran 1 UD I think it become a legal support. This is a charge after all.
