I wanted to clarify which mounted troops can dismount when your opponent turns up with an Elephant. The rules say something like.

Knights can dismount at the start of any game if the army can field foot knights.
All other mounted can dismount if Elephants are deployed.

My question; is can knights dismount if your opponent is using Elephants but your army is not allow foot knights?
It seems odd that knights stubbornly refuse to get off their horse when the rest of the army can.

Kn can dismounted if permited by rule, that's says
List 224 first troops(men at arm and mercenaries) may dismount
List 221 first troops ( men at arm )may not.
But the only may dismount after deploiement.

All troops including knights may dismount if ennemy has elephant, fortification, or war waggons.
be care, some troops are not allowed to dismount ( elefant, war wag etc...)
