Question1: Can a WWg be attacked on the narrow edge?
Question 2: If yes, is it then Self supporting?
Question 3: Also, if yes, can the WWg in it's turn then attack and instant kill LI who are in a support position (as per War Wagon diagram, unit D)? Since bullet 2 say's "all its edges are considered as a front edge for combat purposes".
Per page 60, 1st bullet only talks of combats on the "long" side of a WWg. And, only being self supporting if attacked on it's long side. This combined with the diagram that only shows the narrow edges being used as support (diagram even shows a LI -position D"). Thus implying a WWg can only be attack on the long edge. Thus the questions.

Answer 1 : yes you can attack a WWg by its narrow edge
Answer 2 : No, the self support is only with the long side, if only one ennemy unit is attacking.
Answer 3: Yes and No
Yes, the WWg can declare combat with the LI on its narrow edge if the player wishes so, but that won't be an instant kill: LI in clear terrain are destroyed only by LMI, MI, HI, Cv and Kn and infortunately the WWg are none of these. The combat will be at +1 for the WWg (see reference sheet)
In the diagramme, the narrow edges of the WWg are in contact with a Kn and a LI.
If HI A fights, the combat will be at +1 (base) +3 support = +4
if HI B fights, idem +4
if MI F fights, the combat will be at +1 (base)-1 (WWg self support) +3 support = +3
if Kn C fights, the combat will be at +0 base -1 (base WWg) +3 support = +2
if LI D fights, idem +2
therefore, the attack are more efficient in this case on the long edges. _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

Thanks fdunadan. I didn't remember/realize/look-up the LI destruction part. The narrow edges were my main questions being more then just a support position as bullet 1 and the only diagram didn't make this clear (to me anyway). Again, thanks.
