I have noticed in quite a few of Tim's AARs players are using Micro Commands with 4 or less units. Do these Micro Commands work effectively in game? How do you use them? |

Exemple :
medieval period, a corps with 3 knights and one light cavalry , commanded by an ordinary general
This corps is composed only by mounted troops, so and ordinary gen is sufficient, it could be also included, saving points. With a min of 2 PIP per tuen, you may always do something.
You can use it to :
-support a bigger knight corps, giving a strong numerical superiority on one wing
-cover the flank of an infantry line on your defensive wing
-act as a (semi) fast and manoeuvrable reserve corps if you have no plan and want to react to your opponent'one
-be place in ambush ( 4 bases per marker)
-be use in flank march, only reducing your cohesion level by 4 before its arrival _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

A micro command can be even smaller, 3 or even 2 units giving the extra units to other commands. Placed first near the center of the table, this can also be used to hide your intentions from the opponent. |
