G’day,
I played a game a while ago and ran into this scenario
Xxx
Bbb
Unit X is in melee with unit b.
In players X’s turn, unit y declares a free charge as its within 1UD of unit b.

Can you use the free charge rule to charge into overlap?
I can see the rule for impetuous troops, but when I look as the Spontaneous rules, it doesn’t say so.

Mr Bunny,
From your sketch, it appears that Unit Y would have to slide one base width, then move forward. In order to qualify for the free charge, you can only move straight forward.
