|
This happened last week:
Unit A (Elite Heavy Swords) could be charged in the rear by X (Elite Elephant with included general) and in the flank by Y (1/2 Medium Swords/ 1/2 Bow).
If A has X on the front and Y on the flank, X fights with Y in support.
If A has Y on the front and X on the flank, Y fights with X in support.
So what happens if both X and Y charge into A on the flanks and rear? Which unit's factor is applied?
Obviously I'd prefer the elephant's factor - it was elite, gets impact, a general and furious charge.
To speed it up, we decided that the unit that made contact first should be the one that fought - so the elephant went in on it's own, lacking the CP to get the swords in as well. |

Read “Main unit†on p50.
Where there is no enemy unit ‘engaged in melee’ on the front edge, it is the first to contact (charge) the flank or rear which counts as the “main unitâ€.Â
So you got it right though intuitive logic.Â
