What are the CPs for commanders when they are:
1. In melee to give command to units who are
a) not in melee
b) in melee ?
c) to units they are with
2. When commanders are not in melee what are the CP costs to give command to units who are:
a) not in melee
b) in melee
c) to units they are with
The rules aren't all that clear from our reading of them, or maybe we aren't reading them all that clearly !!
Thanks |

1a) 2 CP*
1b) 3 CP
1c) 2 CP*
2a) 1 CP**
2b) 2 CP*
2c) 1 CP or own general point. **
* 3 CP if difficult manoeuver to be ordered
* * 2 CP if difficult manoeuver to be ordered _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

the cost is 2 CP, as the unit is fighting and the general is not in melee
CP costs are :
1 CP = one normal order
2 CP = difficult manoeuver /
+1 CP out of command range (or general missing) or unit in melee or general fighting in melee (cumulative max 3 CP)
3 CP order to impetuous units subject to uncontrolled charge to do something else. _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

Subsidiary question. Is distance from commander to unit measured according to where the commander starts the turn, or can it be after the commander has been moved? I'm seeing it played both ways. |

Translation from French booklet P23 Command range 3rd para : " command range is checked when the order is given" _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

So just to clarify
Commander attached to a unit which is in melee but commander is not in melee, so unit will benefit from him being attached for the purposes of giving a command to this unit. What is the cost in CP for this unit to attempt to remove a cohesion hit - is it 1CP or 2CP ?? |

Still 2CP but you can use the general's point. The unit is also rallying on 4+ instead of 5+ _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"
