|
Hi there guys!
After a period away from ancient battles I´m playing ADLG again and I´M LOVING IT!
Yet, I have a doubt in my mind while I was wathcing pictures of my last battle.
X>
Z
X and Z are enemies. X is looking right. Z is looking up. Z has just eliminated an enemy unit and has pushed forward ending up in contact corner to corner with an enemy.
Next turn is X´s turn. Can they conform for free? is that front to front? and, can they chose not to conform and charge??? IF they charge, do they hace to pay for it or is it considered to be a spontaneus charge?
Thans in advance! |

You need to look at the FAQs - in particular the "Timing of Conformation" section.
To answer your question. X conforms to Z as soon as it is contacted in Z's pursuit move.

And in answer to your subsequent questions.
Conforming is always free - see pages 52 to 55 for details.
You cannot charge a unit you are already in contact with - page 36 "A charge is a move in which a unit contacts an enemy..."

Im sorry...I didnt check my own posting was incorrect. The Little diagram should have been like this.
X>
Z
So after the pursuit movement they end up in Front corner to Front corner contact....And ONLY corner.
I guess you see my doubt is a bit different now.
Then based on your answer, I may have further questions.
Thanks again. |

How are they just in front corner contact?
X front right and z front left?
If so go back to dave's first post _________________ Player 747 don't call me Jumbo |

The Diagram was the same again. Should it have been:
>X
Z
When Z contacts X in pursuit it doesn't matter how small the contact is X conforms to Z during the pursuit phase. They will fight a melee in X's bound, unless either X disengages or X is LI and Z is a unit that destroys LI on contact.

If X is a troop type permitted to evade, can it do so in response to Z’s pursuit? |

No.
Because a pursuit isn't a charge you can't make an evade which is a charge response.
