The list is from 1250-1521. Simple enough.

The first section (from men-at-arms to fortified camp) is common to all the options.

Is the only list possible before 1397 the "Sweden before 1397" option?

The Kalmar Union is from 1397 (in the text, not the list ), so that's only possible with heavy knights.

What about the Denmark-Norvegian option? Can that be taken before 1397, or does it refer to the Danish/Norwegian bit of the Kalmar Union so is only available after 1397?

To confuse matters, as far as I can find Denmark-Norway didn't exist until 1523!

Hi Dave,

If you want to play prior to 1397, you can use all of the units from the 'general' pool, plus those units under the 'Denmark-Norvegian' heading.

Question re Sweden before 1397 or Sweden in Rebellion - Militia in Mixed Units
The notes mention Sweden breaking into Rebellion several times in the 15th Century.

There appears to be no timeline re the Rebel Swedes so the Mixed Militia could be in a Sweden in Rebellion army post 1397 with Artillery and Handgunners ?

Yes, in the list, the first troops are in common for the Sweden ante 1397 or in rebellion post 1397 or for the Denmark/Norway/Kalmar union option

Hi all!

So as far as i understood, just to recap, it's possible to play before 1397 the 2 following lists:

1. "General pool" + Sweden before 1397 option
2. "General pool" + Denmark/Norway option

In the second case if i want to get also the militia in mixed units from the swedish block i should take them as allies.

Just a further question. How to deal with the German Heavy Knights Impact in the Denmark-Norway option? they look a bit post 1330.
I'm asking cause we will be running a tournament, here in Milan, themed on the 1020 - 1320 period and if someone plays the Denmark version prior to 1320 would get the Heavy Knight Impact anyway.
Are them related to Kalmar, but is not specified somehow?

There are a couple of armies that have heavy knights before 1330, Frankish Cyprus is one albeit just two.
