|
Adlg has adopted the base size from DBA so that the old players don't have to rebase all figures.
Pikes can therefore be 4.5 cm deep or 4 cm.
BUT how are the following 2 situations played.
1.
6 pikes fight against 6 Romans. A pike in the middle destroys its opponent and advances 1 UD. May the pike turn and attack the flank? ..and are all other figures then pushed aside by 0.5 cm?
..or is the third base simply taken away from the pike unit to allow for this flank attack?
2.
4 pikes in 2 rows approach the enemy to 3 UD. The first line of pikes is allowed to approach 2 UD, but the second line is still at 4 UD and is allowed to advance 3 UD.
It would be possible to shift the first line to the left and advance 2 UD and to shift the second line to the right and advance 3 UD.
This would create 1 group of 4 pikes in 1 line again.
But actually the first line is 4.5 UD deep. Are these 0.5 cm ignored or is it not possible to form a new group? |

I recommend you reread p8 Pikemen.
Yet to bother rebaseing 15mm but I find games easier in 25/28mm as these are on single square bases. _________________ Player 747 don't call me Jumbo |

There's a rule somewhere in the basing section (possibly p8!) that in essence says "if you're using different sized bases to be cool or to use old figures, and it would cause any sort of problem or issue for you or your opponent in the game, both of you should just pretend they are on normal sized bases. Move along, nothing to see here...". _________________ www.madaxeman.com |
