Ahmad ibn Buya is a strategist from 945, coinciding with the year that the Caliph recognised him as ruler of Iraq and Khuzestan. However slightly differently the Buyids of Baghdad troop options start one year later 946, which potentially might be to recognise that he did not gain control of Baghdad until almost the end of the year, 19th December, 945.
I tend to assume that the one year difference could be a typo, rather than being intentional to recognise the above dates, or some other historic fact. Does anyone have any insight? |
