From Hilton:
I will submit the full results to the ADLG website, but I did post the WIn-Loss results below, because I am proud of the fact that we played all 15 games with no draws. Certainly a Gulf South first! We had a 7 turn minimum with defender last bound, and we did institute Blitz per the ADLG site. We had 3 games go to Blitz, but all games were concluded before the 2 hour 30 minute time limit. All players were on there best behavior. Maybe COVID has made us realize that we need to appreciate the time that we have to play ‘toy soldiers’.
Finally, another ‘humble brag’. I made a mistake on the venue’s operating hours. i thought the place was open until 6 pm, but it actually closed at 5 pm. Therefore, the night before the tournament, I sent an email to the players and stated that all terrain placement, adjustments, deployment orders and ambushes must be made within 15 minutes. Everyone complied, and we finished the last game at 4:45 pm and I was the last out at 5:08 pm. As Steve mentioned in an earlier post, not the best way to play, but it can be done.
