|
Situation:
War wagon (8 cm depth) wants to move out of a rough terrain but cannot clear it completely, i.e. after its move, 6 cm of his depth are situated in open terrain while 2 cm are still in the rough.
In the next round, war wagon is attacked and in melee with a MI unit.
Page 64: "If the unit's base is deeper tha normal, a standard-sized base should be used to judge whether or not the the unit is in the terrain".
So for me, standard-size base has 4 cm depth.
Because more than 4 cm (6 cm) are in the open terrain, the war wagon is considered to FIGHTin the open, no terrain penalty? Correct interpretation of that rule? |

I think not.
“Deeper than normal†means deeper than specified for that troop type in table in the rules on the bottom of page 7. |

I’m with Kev.
This rule is for e.g. DBx based pike with 45mm base depth, or oversized chariots on extra long bases. |

Correct.
The “normal†size of a WWG in 15mm is 40x80, which is the size of template that would be used to determine the actual position of an out-sized WWG base. |
