What happens when an evading unit can’t move its full distance because of obstacles (enemy, friends it can’t interpenetrated or impassable terrain) it encounters and can’t avoid (with slides or wheels <= 90 degrees) after 1UD?
Does it go as far as it can and then halt?
For example
___LC___
HI____HI
HI____HI
HIHIHIHI
(Everyone facing up.)
The LC above can turn around and move 1.5 UDs back but is then stuck. |

So as a side note. There are no burst throughs on evades. (you flee from a flank march which is different and can have burst throughs)
So 47 #2
two cases simplified
1 Zoc on unit
2 Something less than 1 UD.
So in your example neither applies. So the evade starts moving. So once in the cul-de-sac it can't escape by deviating. So it moves as far as it can then stops, because this is no legal mechanism to proceed. |
