1. When a group evades and encounters an obstacle it must slide or wheel to avoid, does it remain a group or split into smaller groups or individual units as it passes the obstacle? Does the owner have a choice in the matter?
For example (All units face up initially and are being charged by an unseen enemy from above in these examples.)
LCLC
HI
Do both LC slide as a group or does one go straight ahead and the other slide to avoid the HI?
2. What happens if some units can avoid the obstacle by sliding but others need to wheel to avoid it? Can do do they break up to do this or does the group try to wheel as a whole?
For example
LCLCLC
HIHI
3. If a group of units wheels to avoid an obstacle (beyond 1 UD) do they wheel as a group or break up into separate units that each wheel individually? Can the owner choose which of these to do? |

So the decision to evade is made. Then all evading units make their path.
The units of the group seek their own path as required. If the group can perform the same maneuver and comply with each unit moving its full adjusted distance than they may stay as as group. If not they break up as needed.
Note in your case 2 Remember all the deviation does not begin until 1 UD from blockage.
So center can slide with right. But your left at 1 UD will likely go the other way as this is a something like a 60 degree to head to the right side. |
