Li has no ZoC against MC bow in open terrain
so the first case "Evade blocked by enemy ZoC" is not possible
...but is the second case relevant?

If unit B3 on picture Page 48 is an enemy Li
...and LH2 is a MC bow

it is not possible for the MC to shift 1 UD and evade
without touching the corner of the Li!

Do Li block an evade or do they have to evade themselves from the evade move of the MC

Keep in mind if MC bow is at shooting distance a single Li might move forward 3 UD
then shift behind the MC
and make it free turn to face the MC's rear

I’m pretty sure LI in the open who are blocking enemy evades themselves flee if they would be contacted by evaders they must flee from. I.e. LI flee from evading enemy Cv or Javelinmen (?) but not fleeing LI or LH.

Li can't block evading ennemies, except if Li can provide a zoc on them. If they can't, Li flees.
