The somewhat new army painter speed paints are nice. They work especially well on horses. For those that already use a layer paint system they might not matter much. But for me i did not realized how bad and uninteresting my painting was when i was convinced to switch from white primary to black primary. For the speed paints i have switched back to white priming and its working for me. One layer and done. Not the best but getting me back into the groove.

So if you need an easy way to ease back into simpler painting i would suggest checking these out. They work better on larger figures and the colors are often darker than you expect. So prime white and use the light options. For example, the dark wood is too dark unless you lighten it.
