Does anyone have any insights/knowledge/thoughts on what portion of late 14th c (French) knights had caparisons, armored horses (not covered in caparisons) or horses with neither?
I’m think of ordered some Khurasan HYW (latter 14th c) knights to use (probably) as French and am wondering what the ratio between these three options should be. |

Well I figured capirisone and armor look nice so everyone’s horse got one or the other. The dudes on unarmored horses can be assumed to be hanging out in the rear…. Although I recall reading only about 3% of contemporary horses were illustrated showing horse armor.
