Following several very early requests for the dates and details for Sgian-Dubh 2024 I can announce the following

Dates: 6/7th July 2024
Venue: Towerlands Community Centre, Towerlands Farm Road, Bourtree Hill South, Irvine, KA11 1PY
Scale: 15mm
Army size: 200AP
Theme: Armies up to the fall of Assyria: Any list from the Ancient period dated no later than 609BC, but if dated from 1000BC must contain at least two chariots (not counting scythed chariots).
Cost: £30 including lunch both days

Entries are now open, and confirmed by payment. This is preferably by paypal to sgdubh@gmail.com, however you can contact me if you prefer another method.

The golf lovers amongst you may be interested in the Open, being played a week after Sgian Dubh. The event is in the neighbouring town of Troon. Others of you may be more concerned that a wargames event had to shift date to accomodate golf, rather than the other way around.

Following queries some clarification on the theme.

Any list from the Ancient period dated no later than 609BC, but if dated from 1000BC must contain at least two chariots (not counting scythed chariots).

Clarifications:
1. Allies do not have to be from the Ancient period, but overall list date must be no later than 609BC.
2. If the main (dated from 1000BC) list doesn't have chariots, the 2 chariot requirement can be met by an ally.
