Hi
The rules seem to say that a unit can only wheel at the start of the charge or when conforming upon contact.
Just wanted to check that a wheel can not be part way through a charge even if the charge direction has not changed.
Consider the example:
AAAA
BBBB DDDD
bbbbcccccddddd
Unit AAAA wants to charge ccccc. He is within the unit move distance. But since he cannot wheel part way though the charge he cannot do this dues to friendly units BBBB and DDDD being in the way.
Unit AAAA would have to use a move to get into position and then charge the follow.
Is this correct?

Thats whole "a unit can only wheel at the start of a charge" thing is kidna clear in saying what it means... however if you add in the possibiilty to slide as an alternative, and also turn you do still end up with quite a bit of flexibility.
Sometimes thought the layout of troops on table just doesn't work in your favour - or the opposite if its your opponent rrying to di it to you in the same situation I guess...! _________________ www.madaxeman.com |

Assuming you can interpenetrate your other friendly units, can't you just slide and then charge straight ahead? |
