With respect to "local confusion" and on this point I include myself.
I have found a lot of confusion comes from a person adopting a position of interpretation that actually isn't supported by the rules as written, but the vociferous nature of the defense creates confusion when there should not be. Also some positions can be hardened by "someone said we play it this way" but someone is somewhere else.
We've a had a few instances where we played a rule correctly. Someone told us that we had it wrong. We started playing it wrong. A new person said hey the other way. We finally get an FAQ and we go "a ha" we played it right the first time.
So if in doubt listen to "el kreator" then me !

Though I have never played any of the more recent commercial rule-sets, I suspect that some confusions have arisen from the inherent similarities between them and AdlG |
