A strange thing happened with my last posting, “A Saxfull of Saxons.†The number of visitors is about double the norm of around 200 for a week.
I do not have any explanation, other than it was 138 on the first day of promotion, and 105 the second day, and then 53, 24, 11, 47.
For contrast, the previous battlereport, A Quigong of Qin was 122, 19, 18, then single digits.
I promoted to the same FB pages and forums as before.
Looking at where some of the referrals came from there is FB with 119, which I expect, but Harvard with 79? That is interesting. University of Texas with12. Priceline? Pizzahut?
Could it be some interest in the word Saxfull? Which is a word I made up as a deliberate misspelling of the word Sackful.
Now Saxaul is a word, describing a thorny scrub like tree in arid regions. Not really an appropriate description of Scotland, except for the thorny part.
A Saxaul of Saxons
