|
In the situation where a (non evading) unit has a zone of control to its flank, it can exit to its rear without turning? At the cost of being disordered and 2CP.
It struck us as strange given if it was able to evade, the evade would be blocked by a friendly unit immediately to its other flank. In this case it is advantages to be a non-evader?
Thanks.

A non-impetuous unit would be blocked by something immediately to its rear. Swings and roundabouts........ |

I believe in this instance ANY unit can back up. But it is an interesting wording bit. |

A careful reading of that section suggests that ‘evade capable’ unit may only make a move that is similar to an evade.Â
Yes it does seem a little odd, though both types also have the option of turning to face the ZoCing enemy. |

Any friendly unit that is located less than 1UD to the direction of the evade move, is considered an obstacle (if it can't be interpenetrated) and can be avoided by a sideways slide of 1 UD or less, of the evading unit. If the evading unit can't make that slide (for any reason), then it can't evade and has trouble. |
