Hola all:
List 95 includes a line for "Rugian, Thuringian or Vandal allied warriors" which is starred to allow an included general. It does not clarify whether these troops are an "Ally" command (such that these troops must remain isolated in their own command, or if the lower-case "allied" just describes their connection to the Gepid force.
Is this an ally command? |

it is not a separate allied command. This units are listed in the main list. alied command are listed outside of the list, like Pannonian (list 62), or Greeks(list 64), or Paphlagonian (list 67), or.... _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

I understand it's not a separate ally, as you describe. But is it an internal ally, such that those troops (or the infantry general from that line) cannot be spread among the rest of the army. Some other lists include an internal ally that works this way, but the description in the Gepid list is not clear. |

The example I give are of internal Ally (they don't come from another list)
in the Gepides, it's troops that are allied in origin but can be mixed with others troops at will like in list 53 with the Italian allies Extraordinary or Others Italian allies
Tha allies come in three flavors:
1) written as Allied XXX (list ## YYY) thhat form a separate command and are taken from a separate list.
2) written as Allied XXX followed by a list of troops, that form a separate command but only with the troops listed below and that don't have a separate list.
3) units written Allies XXX in the main list, that are regular troops within a regular command even if their appelation reminds of their origin being different than those others units of the army.
So for the Gepides, you can have the 0-8 Warriors of the main list and add the 0-8 Rugian, Thuringian and Vandal, among those 2 can be Elite and you can include generals in them _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

Ok, cool. My main concern was just being able to include a couple LI with that pack of warriors, which would be incorrect if they were an actual ally. |
